Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain in the United States is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely move pallets and cases, load/unload trucks, and support accurate storage. You will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks, perform inspections, and follow OSHA safety rules in a fast-paced distribution environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; candidates should be detail-oriented, a strong team player, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate powered material handling equipment (electric pallet jack, stand-up/sit-down forklift).
• Meet PPE requirements and demonstrate safety consciousness.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading pallets and cases from trucks and conveyors, by hand or with equipment.
• Safely loading/unloading, transporting, and stacking materials using forklifts.
• Sorting and building products on pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Applying shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
• Quality control to ensure accuracy of all transactions.
• Performing daily equipment inspections for maintenance.
• Maintain accuracy of storage locations with cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Adhering to OSHA safety rules and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
