Job summary

Civita Health Care Systems in Waterford, CT, is seeking an RN Nursing Supervisor to lead nursing care across shifts. The 7am-3pm, full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off except on-call.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing Services, you will ensure high-quality resident care, supervise Charge Nurse and CNAs, and maintain care plans in a collaborative, patient-centered environment at Civita's Bayview facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Must hold a nursing degree from an accredited school.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Meet nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans for all residents.
• Follow physician’s orders and provide complete nursing care.
• Transcribe physician orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records to ensure accuracy.
• Document comprehensive nursing notes.
• Oversee RN assessments and alertness.
• Report unusual findings and contact physicians.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
• Oversee Charge Nurse and CNA performance.
• Promote positive resident and family relations.
