Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join the Vascular Access Center in our medical office setting. This full-time day-shift position supports diagnostic procedures in an outpatient environment and offers opportunities for professional growth within a strong interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include admission assessment, care coordination, IV insertion, sedation monitoring, and education for patients and families through pre-procedure and post-procedure care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in the State of New York.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN degree preferred, according to NYS requirements.
• National certification preferred, along with 1-2 years acute cardiology or ICU experience.
• Maintains education/certifications as required by department and regulatory agencies.
• Completes all mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Admission assessment and pre op preparation.
• Utilize clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills & the principles of case management & adult education to coordinate, implement & support the plan of care.
• Ensure a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across the continuum.
• IV insertion and maintenance.
• Monitor and assist with procedures, monitor and deliver moderate sedation, IV medications and contrast dye injections.
• Point of care testing as directed.
• Specimen preparation and reporting according to hospital policy.
• Collaborative team approach, coordinate and direct care with vascular providers and medical imaging staff.
• Educate patient and family regarding preparation, intra procedure and post procedure care.

Education

New York RN Licensure

BSN preferred
