Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-I at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. The role features a part-time day schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every other weekend required.
A NJ RN license, BLS, and EPIC experience are preferred, along with a Bachelor’s in Nursing. The RN will conduct patient assessments, administer care, document thoroughly, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Prior patient care experience preferred, with post-cardiac cath exposure.
- Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
- Administer medications and provide hands-on care with sound clinical judgment.
- Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely, coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
- Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in rounds and multidisciplinary discussions to improve outcomes.
