Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a Day Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at Riverside Regional Jail in North Prince George, VA. This full-time role runs 7am–7:30pm with rotating weekends, providing holistic nursing care in a correctional setting and coordinating with the health care team.

Responsibilities include assessments at admission, documentation of triage decisions, development of care plans, and administration of medications per physician orders.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance including background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide written assessment on admission.
• Document and communicate triage decisions during custody and discharge to the health care provider.
