Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process across the patient population. The role includes assessment, discharge planning, and coordinating care with other health professionals.

The preferred candidate holds a BSN and Massachusetts nursing licensure; BLS is required unless ACLS is current. A $5,000 signing bonus is available for eligible external hires.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Documents patient care per standard procedure.
• Develops, implements/coordinates Education Plan for patient/family.
