Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse responsible for direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and document care for diverse patient populations in a 40-hour per week schedule.

Responsibilities include developing discharge plans, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team, administering medications, and participating in quality improvement initiatives within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Administers medications, performs treatments, therapies and operates equipment according to policy and procedure.
