Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, from admission to discharge. The role emphasizes assessment, care planning and coordination within a dynamic clinical setting.

Responsibilities include supervising care, delegating tasks, and ensuring compliance with standards. Massachusetts licensure and BLS are required; ACLS if not current; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient’s care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
