Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a full-time, day shift position. The role supports the radiation oncology team under the direction of the oncologist and a licensed therapist, ensuring safe, precise treatment delivery.

Education includes a degree in radiation therapy or related program with ARRT certification. Minimum 3 months of training required; CPR certification is required. The department emphasizes ALARA and patient-centered care within Trinity Health’s values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy or completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology program followed by a one-year Radiation Therapy program.
• Minimum of 3 months of on the job training or experience.
• CPR and ARRT certification for radiation therapy, must be registered or registry-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing treatment records for completeness.
• Collaborate with physicians, physics/dosimetry and colleagues during planning and delivery.
• Review patient charts in Aria for consistency and accuracy prior to treatment.
• Prepare treatment room and equipment and explain procedures to patients.
• Position patients and follow treatment processes per policy.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report changes to the care team.
• Assist in simulation and treatment planning and in related procedures as needed.
• Acquire imaging (CBCT/portal) as prescribed and verify alignment.
• Schedule treatments and simulations per department guidelines in Aria.
• Inspect equipment safety interlocks and report malfunctions.
• Submit charges for services rendered per guidelines.
• Participate in clinical education of students.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and Trinity Health Mission.

Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy
