Job summary

The Dixon Group in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a defined production department, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards upheld. You will plan work, delegate assignments, guide team members, and help uphold company policies and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Manufacturing and machining knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using computer systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Cell meetings with Zone Leaders to align priorities and communicate expectations.
• Coordinate and implement production activities in partnership with other leaders.
• Verify corrective actions, including root cause analyses and follow-through.
• Learn and apply Dixon MOS to perform supervisory duties.
• Coach, develop, and evaluate leaders and operators to support team success.
• Gather, analyze, and summarize performance metrics.
• Conduct timely employee performance reviews and provide developmental feedback.
• Promote and uphold Standard Work practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
