Position Summary

The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for managing safety, environmental controls, employee development, and plant production, including quality control, equipment protection, and cost management.

Supervisory Duties

Supervises hourly employees performing welding and assembly duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and develop production employees to meet operational goals.
• Ensure proper orientation and training of employees.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide performance feedback, coaching, and training.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Review safety, quality, expenses, and productivity metrics, and employee feedback.
• Develop departmental reports as needed.
• Contribute to managing the department budget.
• Maintain professional knowledge, ethics, and practices.
• Conduct oneself professionally, demonstrating integrity and respect.
• Promote health and safety policies and awareness.
• Participate in inventory counts for finished goods and raw materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Oversee welding team, ensure safety, verify weld quality, train welders, troubleshoot equipment, monitor project progress, and coordinate team efforts.
