Job summary

Sonoco City of Industry is hiring a Production Worker for the 1st shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday–Friday) to join our manufacturing team. The role reports to the Department Supervisor and emphasizes safe, efficient operation on spiral machines and finishing equipment, with a strong commitment to quality and process adherence.

Candidates should demonstrate a solid safety record, be willing to work overtime, and be prepared to obtain a forklift license if required.

Responsibilities

• Receives work assignments from the Department Supervisor and reports completion.
• Operates spiral machines or finishing equipment and performs related duties.
• May assist in shipping, shop work, or general cleaning.
• After training, may fill in as finishing operator, saw tender, or other FT operator duties.
• Inspects and monitors quality to meet customer specifications.
• Keeps a daily production and inspection record.
• May obtain a forklift license.
• Follows Sonoco safety practices and reports unsafe conditions.
• Other assigned duties as needed.
