Job summary

Prestage in Camden, SC is seeking a production process operator to maintain and service manufacturing processes for quality poultry products. You will inspect, hang, cut, trim, and inspect birds and parts, with day shift options and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include safely operating conveyors, using knives and tools, adhering to GMP and USDA guidelines, and collaborating with leads and supervisors to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge in poultry or other food processing industry.
• Solid understanding of food safety compliance.
• Detailed-oriented; self-directed; able to work in fast-paced environment.
• Team player w/ excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safely operating and maintaining product flow for equipment and conveyors including hanging whole or bird parts, cutting, trimming, loading and unloading parts.
• Safely uses tools, e.g. knives & scissors to prepare poultry parts for further processing.
• Completes on-going housekeeping to meet food safety standards.
• Operates with a safety-first mindset above all other department metrics.
• Works within GMP, Safety, and USDA guidelines to achieve top quality in a safe work environment.
• Willingly learns new skills, cross trains others, and works to improve process flow.
• Works directly with lead, supervisors, and co-workers to achieve production targets.
• Performs other assigned duties as directed.
