Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Plant Operator for the Durham, NC facility. The role focuses on safe and efficient operation of the production line, including filling cylinders and equipment stewardship.

The position requires a high school diploma and offers comprehensive benefits; forklift experience and strict safety adherence are valued. Shift is Monday–Friday, first shift, with a focus on quality and process compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or related field.
• Technical certification in industrial operations is a plus; experience with industrial gases is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Care for and steward equipment in the production facility including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance to keep equipment in excellent condition.
• Safely support the flow and transport of cylinders, including filling and quality checks.
• Record maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities for team transparency.
• Uphold safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives.
