Job summary

Airgas in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Plant Operator (2nd Shift) to support our filling industrial operations. The role runs Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10:30 pm, focusing on equipment care, safety, and efficient production flow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a commitment to safety, and preferably prior plant operations or industrial maintenance experience. Forklift familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years or older to apply.
• Experience in plant operations or industrial maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for and steward equipment in production facility (compressors, pumps, filling stations, forklifts).
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance to keep equipment in good condition.
• Safely support cylinder flow and transport, conducting filling and quality checks.
• Possess forklift experience to move materials safely within the facility.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
• Uphold safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
• Join team meetings and safety initiatives to improve collaboration.
