Job summary

Airgas USA, LLC in Durham, NC is seeking a Plant Operator to support the filling and production of industrial gases. You will care for and operate equipment such as compressors, pumps, filling stations and forklifts, perform inspections, maintain records, and help ensure safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates bring forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Technical certification in industrial operations is a plus.
• Industrial gas experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Care for and steward equipment within the production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance contributions to keep equipment in excellent condition.
• Support the flow and transport of cylinders, including filling and quality checks, following safety guidelines.
• Contribute to accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
