Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves filling high‑pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical, and Mixes) using compression/temperature methods, and safely operating equipment for pumping and repackaging gases.

You will perform pre-fill and post-fill inspections, maintain cylinder records, and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. On‑site logistics support is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires US work eligibility; no visa sponsorship.
• Regularly lifts 25–75 lbs., and occasionally >100 lbs. with aid.
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to operate forklift.

Responsibilities

• Fill high‑pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical, Mixes) using compression/temperature methods.
• Operate and maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases.
• Perform pre-fill and post-fill inspections and safety tests.
• Maintain cylinder records and follow procedures to meet regs.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and support inventory control.
• Provide customer support as needed and maintain a clean work area.
