Job summary

Airgas in Evansville, IN is hiring a Plant Operator to help run our production facility, including the filling of cylinders and safe handling of industrial gases. You will maintain equipment, assist with inspections, and contribute to quality and efficiency in a collaborative team environment.

Qualified applicants will have 18+ years, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and experience in plant operations or industrial maintenance; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in plant operations or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Technical certification in industrial operations a plus.
• Industrial gas experience a plus.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment, including filling cylinders, safely.
• Maintain and inspect facility equipment such as compressors, pumps, and forklifts.
• Record equipment maintenance and cylinder tracking for traceability.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives.
• Support material transport and movement using forklifts.
