Job summary

Vanderbilt Health seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the dispensing and distribution of medications under pharmacist supervision. You will assist with inventory control, operate dispensing cabinets and respond to patient and department requests.

You will join a team led by a Pharmacy Supervisor, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and hospital policies. A PTCB or NHA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician duties including preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications.
• Strong customer service and triage for phone requests.
• Adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Apply inventory control processes.
• Follow directives from Pharmacists and Pharmacy Managers per laws and hospital policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate computer systems and related technologies.
• Acknowledged as part of a team with potential for additional duties.
