Job summary

Indiana University Health is hiring for a full-time day position performing a blend of direct patient care and unit clerical duties. Under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse, you will support the patient care team and ensure a clean, orderly environment, while assisting with patient flow, schedules, and records.

Responsibilities include scheduling tests, maintaining records, and stocking supplies. CPR may be required; a PCA training program may be completed as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand medical terminology.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and perform unit clerical duties.
• Assist the Clinical Nurse and support the patient care team.
• Maintain a clean, orderly patient environment and assist with directions and information.
• Schedule tests and procedures and maintain patient records.
• Sign patients in/out and help with equipment and supplies as needed.
• Provide continuous observation including suicide prevention where required.
