Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Patient Care Tech to provide direct patient care under RN guidance. The role covers a full-time day shift (6:00 am – 6:30 pm) with duties including vital signs, patient assistance, and basic clinical tasks in a hospital setting.

Qualifications include STNA/CNA or acute care training, or a nursing student who has completed the first acute care clinical semester, plus BLS. Strong communication and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• STNA/CNA or acute care training; or nursing student with first clinical semester completed.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Take and record vital signs; report deviations.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Transport patients and assist with mobility.
• Assist with wound care and specimen collection.
• Observe universal precautions and safety procedures.
• Help with meal delivery and patient comfort.
• Document care accurately in the charting system.
