Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Full-time Patient Care Assistant in Gainesville, FL. The PCA will assist the Registered Nurse with routine procedures and provide nursing support to promote compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment.

The role requires CNA with HS diploma and patient care experience, or active nursing student status, with NCLEX pathways considered for current employees. The schedule is 6:00am–2:30pm, Mon–Fri, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Licensed EMT or Paramedic credential; or CNA with HS diploma and 1 year patient care experience preferred.
• Nursing student in an approved program for professional licensure pathways; or NCLEX-awaiting status for employed staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse with routine procedures under supervision.
• Provide nursing support to promote patient advocacy and quality care.
