Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our inpatient care team in Saint Augustine, FL. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week, with a 7:00am to 7:00pm schedule, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care and supportive services.

The PCA will help maintain a safe, clean, and compassionate environment, communicate effectively with the healthcare team, and support patient and family satisfaction through service excellence and adherence to

Qualifications

• All age groups served
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• CPI training within 90 days of hire or transfer and then annually for the Psychiatric unit

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and supportive services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains a clean, orderly environment and demonstrates service excellence behaviors.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team to promote patient and family satisfaction.
