Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Extended Recovery RN for 36-hour day shifts, working 7a-7p, Mon-Fri. The Staff RN will practice within the Lahey Clinic model and MA nursing standards while ensuring safe, evidence-based care.

The role emphasizes clinical judgment, professional relationships, and leadership, with a focus on delegation, continued education, and high-quality patient outcomes. Candidates must hold an active nursing license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license to practice professional nursing (Massachusetts).
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care by demonstrating organizational skills to coordinate safe delivery of quality care for assigned patients/families.
• Deliver care that is appropriate to the patient’s age and needs.
• Delegate responsibilities with proper supervision and governance.
• Coordinate care across the continuum and maintain current knowledge of nursing procedures.
