Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the operating room on a full-time day shift. The role requires prior OR experience with circulating and scrubbing skills preferred.

Four 10-hour shifts are available, and the position emphasizes patient- and family-centered care within Jefferson Health. Ideal candidates will hold an accredited nursing diploma, with BSN preferred, and an active RN license in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Knowledge of patient-and-family-centered practice and collaboration with patients, families, and care partners.
• Cultural awareness of diverse backgrounds and respectful communication.
• Knowledge of effective communication concepts and collaboration with patients, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of patient assessment and care and ability to implement a plan.
• Knowledge of medication administration, prescriptions, and post-discharge care.
• Discharge planning knowledge and ability to coordinate post-hospital care.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and clinical recordkeeping.
• BLS certification per American Heart Association guidelines.
• PA RN license required to practice.
