Job summary

The Nurse Manager provides quality customer service to patients and families, coordinates materials management, and sustains a healthy, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; must be enrolled in a master's degree program and complete within 36 months of hire.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred; if not, BSN from an accredited school.
• Virginia RN licensure or eligibility; BLS certification or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant clinical experience with 2 years of progressive leadership or supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• All day-to-day operations of the unit are handled independently.
• Advice and guidance sought from the Director on an as needed basis and for major impacts outside the unit.
• Actions taken without prior approval include daily operational functions and leadership of staff.
