Rice Lake Weighing Systems is hiring a Welder for our Fernley, NV facility. You will perform MIG welding, read blueprints, and prepare parts to RLWS quality standards. The role requires lifting, grinding, and occasional blasting in a fast-paced shop environment.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 1st shift daytime hours with 40 hours guaranteed and overtime as needed. You will operate a range of power tools, cranes, and forklifts while maintaining a safe, productive work setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding training preferred.
• Welding experience or degree is essential.
• Ability to read weld procedures, blueprints, and manufacturing docs.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG welding equipment to meet RLWS standards.
• Read blueprints and lay out welds for assemblies.
• Grind parts and prepare surfaces as needed.
• Use cranes or forklifts to move materials as required.
• Follow safety guidelines and quality checks.
