Job summary

Hendricks Behavioral Hospital in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the day shift to support patients across ages under RN supervision. You will monitor behavior, record vital signs, and participate in treatment teams to promote safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA/NAR required.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• 1 year of related psychiatric care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous care and supervision to patients.
• Accurately record vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Lead MHT groups and apply CPI techniques.
• Follow treatment plan and interventions outlined by the team.
• Assist patients with discharge and life adjustments.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment with universal precautions.
