Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved MA training program.
• Active MA certification and BLS certification required.
• Strong computer and EMR/scheduling software skills; able to manage priorities.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for certain Banner sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam by taking vital signs and documenting chief complaint.
• Assist with exams and minor in-office procedures; phlebotomy, EKGs, vaccines as directed.
• Coordinate care: pre-certifications, referrals, scheduling, and communicating results.
• Provide clerical support and ensure billing information is accurate and timely.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and follow OSHA guidelines for safety and sterilization.
• Order supplies and manage medications, recalls and stocks.
