Job summary

Valley Health Physician Alliance in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support physician-led care in a busy clinic. You will interview patients, record vitals, perform venipuncture, and assist with examinations under physician direction, with duties documented in the EMR per IPM guidelines.

The role includes preparing treatment rooms, covering front desk tasks when needed, and contributing to process improvements while upholding infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures.
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol).

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Venipuncture and assisting in physician examination as directed by the physician.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination and assist front desk as needed.
• Document care in the Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
