Job summary

Valley Health Physician Alliance in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians in examinations and treatments. You will measure vital signs, perform venipuncture, prepare exam rooms, and assist with front-desk duties as needed.

Documentation in the EMR will follow IPM guidelines. The successful candidate will have a medical assistant program completion, Medical Assistant certification and current BLS/CPR, with familiarity in medical terminology and patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certification and/or one year experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Performs venipuncture and related procedures as directed.
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Assists at front desk as needed to support workflow.
• Documents care in the Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
