Job summary
Quality Correctional Health Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time day shift in Hamilton County. The CMA provides nursing care under physician supervision in a correctional setting, performs sick-call protocols, administers medications, and documents patient information.
The role requires CMA/RMA/CCMA certification and CPR, with at least one year of clinical CMA experience, preferably in a correctional health care environment.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School - Current and valid CMA, RMA, CCMA
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience as CMA/RMA/CCMA; correctional health care preferred
- Valid CPR card.
Responsibilities
- Take and document vital signs
- Assist with activities of daily living for inmates
- Obtain patient history
- Assist with examinations and treatments and document correctly
- Under supervision perform sick-call procedures
- Administer medications per nursing standards
- Accurately document patient information
- Read and comply with new standards and directives
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide assistance to co-workers to fulfill the unit's mission
- Oversee pharmacy functionality and medication processes
- Schedule inmate movements to medical clinics
