Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a Full Time Days position at the Pima County Detention Center in Tucson, Arizona.

The CMA will work alongside correctional healthcare professionals in a secure, controlled environment to support examinations, histories, vital signs, and basic patient care. New grads are encouraged to apply; training will be provided in correctional healthcare.

Qualifications

• CMA Certification as prerequisite.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS CPR certification may be required.
• Office Lab Assistant License (Nevada only) may be needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and document health problems and medication history.
• Take and record vital signs and basic lab tests.
• Administer medications under physician direction.
• Assist with examinations and procedures and provide patient education.
• Schedule appointments and manage medical/office supplies.
