Job summary

Scentsy in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a Machine Technician to support maintenance and repair of automated equipment used to produce wax and oil-based fragrance products. The role ensures machines run smoothly and safety standards are followed, with hours 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, train junior technicians, manage spare parts inventory, and help keep a clean, safe manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or skilled trades certification preferred or 2+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Clear and direct written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools (grinders, drill presses, band saws, etc.).
• Understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, and electricity.
• Electrical knowledge including basic wiring, schematics, motor controls, VFDs is desirable.
• Experience with welding (MIG/TIG) and fabrication is desirable.
• Basic plumbing, adhesives, sealants, caulking for piping systems are desirable.
• Troubleshoot and interpret PLC ladder logic desirable.
• Read/interpreting drawings, safety rules, manuals.
• Basic CMMS knowledge; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs on processing and packaging equipment including liquid fillers, capping, conveyors, motors, pumps, and sensors.
• Troubleshoot electrical components including continuity, fuses, and switches.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, regulators and related items.
• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist with inventory management of spare parts.
• Train and mentor Technician Assistants and Manufacturing Operators as needed.
• Perform all other assigned tasks and duties as required.
