Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is hiring a Day Shift Labor Scheduler to evaluate workforce requirements and build effective labor schedules for a new Sioux Falls facility. You will coordinate with plant departments, maintain schedules, and address disruptions to support operations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of scheduling or workforce planning experience in manufacturing, with Kronos knowledge and strong communication, analytical, and data-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in labor scheduling or workforce planning in manufacturing or related field.
• Experience with workforce management systems; Kronos knowledge preferred.
• Strong data entry and database management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate labor resources with plant departments to achieve optimal staffing.
• Develop, maintain, and adjust employee schedules based on operational needs.
• Monitor scheduling exceptions and troubleshoot call‑ins and disruptions.
• Communicate staffing needs and changes to supervisors and employees.
• Partner with Production Scheduling to align labor with production plans.
