Job summary

US Foods in Aurora, IL is seeking a Meat Production Maintenance Technician to keep critical production and facility equipment running on the 1st shift. You will perform repairs, document actions, and support preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires basic mechanical experience, the ability to read repair logs, follow instructions, and adhere to safety policies, including Lock Out/Tag Out. Bilingual Spanish capability is noted in this posting.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent; mechanic training or trade school preferred.
• Minimum six months of mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; welding ability; able to read and write; follow orders; basic math; able to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production/facility equipment.
• Review equipment reports and log actions.
• Complete documentation for equipment activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain PM logs.
• Follow safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out) and maintain a safe work area.
• Manage tools and replacement parts inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors for tools if authorized.
