JobSquad Solutions Team is seeking a 2ND SHIFT - FOOD INDUSTRY MAINTENANCE TECH for Bedford Park, IL. Focus on maintaining bakery/food production equipment and minimizing downtime.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience in industrial bakery/food manufacturing, HS diploma, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Expect lifting up to 60 pounds and a 2pm–10pm shift with weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of Maintenance Technician experience.
• 2-5 years in industrial bakery or food manufacturing environment.
• Responsible for production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Knowledgeable in set up, adjustment, maintenance and repair of machinery used in the production facility.
• Must have electrical and mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical/electrical issues on bakery lines.
• Support equipment such as ovens, packing lines, conveyors; assist plumbing and hydraulics when needed.
• Operate and calibrate equipment safely; document maintenance.
• Communicate issues clearly and work with team to prevent downtime.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Must have 2 years of Maintenance Technician experience
• 2-5 years' working in the industrial bakery or food manufacturing environment
• Responsible for production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime
• Knowledgeable in set up, adjustment, maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment used in the production facility
• Must have electrical and mechanical experience
• Knowledgeable in supporting equipment (such as ovens, packing lines, conveyors) plumbing, pneumatic hydraulics, and cutting
• Electrical, PLC Diagnostics, Welding MIG, TIG, Stick a plus
• Strong Mechanical and Problem-Solving Skills
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills
• Service-oriented (responsive)
• Great communicator, process-oriented, methodical
• Able to stand for extended periods of time; walking, lifting, climbing, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and stooping
• Ability to lift 60 pounds
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
