Job summary

Woodland Village in Brighton, MI seeks a dependable Maintenance Technician on a temporary, part-time basis (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) to keep the community safe, comfortable, and well-functioning for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months of maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the community.
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Maintain and repair community and kitchen equipment.
• Complete painting and furniture refinishing projects as needed.
• Support floor care activities, including vacuuming, shampooing, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
• Calibrate thermostats and perform minor equipment repairs.
• Operate, test, and complete preventive maintenance on generators and other facility systems.
• Maintain grounds, equipment, and building systems in accordance with safety standards and community procedures.
