Job summary

GDI Services Inc US is seeking a dependable maintenance technician to support routine inspection, repair planning, and building upkeep at our Rock Island facility, Monday through Friday. You will perform electrical system maintenance (bulbs, sockets, panels), routine site upkeep, landscaping, painting, and carpentry, and help develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of related experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills,

Qualifications

• 2-5 years related experience
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to multi-task
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
• Ability to show judgment and to work independently
• High integrity and discretion required

Responsibilities

• Routine inspection and testing of equipment and machinery to ensure everything is up to standard
• Plan and schedule maintenance repairs
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels)
• Perform routine maintenance around building
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
