Job summary

Harborview Medical Center is looking for a Machinery Mechanic to join the Skilled Trades and Facilities Team on a first-shift schedule. This 100% FTE role has no weekends, evenings, or telework, offering strong benefits and work-life balance.

You will perform maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of commercial dining and kitchen equipment, manage work orders, track parts, and develop preventative maintenance schedules to keep kitchen facilities running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Full journey status as a Machinery Mechanic or four years of applicable work experience.
• Vocational training may substitute for work experience.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of commercial dining and kitchen equipment.
• Process and manage work orders using computerized work management system.
• Order, track, record and maintain inventory for parts.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose and repair components of food service equipment including dish machines, drink stations, ovens, and fryers.
