Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
• Arrhythmia certification: Preferred
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy: Required

Responsibilities

• Provides care for assigned patients under the supervision of an RN according to established standard and nursing process.
• Performs admission assessments and ongoing re-assessments; assists in development of interdisciplinary care plan.
• Implements and coordinates care plans and patient teaching, including discharge planning.
• Performs clinical procedures (phlebotomy, injections, drug screens, etc.) and administers medications.
• Orders/restocks supplies; maintains cleanliness in assigned areas and related spaces.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
