Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full-time day shift at our Zarzamora facility. The LVN provides safe, compassionate nursing care under the supervision of an RN and participates in the patient’s plan of care.

Required to have a current LVN/LPN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS credentials, and two years of ED or urgent care experience. Strong communication and attention to infection control are essential to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current LVN/LPN license in the state of practice.
• Two years of LVN/LPN experience in ED or similar setting preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, compassionate nursing care to patients under the supervision of an RN and the plan of care.
• Delivers care per organization policies to ensure quality and safety.
• Documents patient care accurately and promptly reflecting the plan of care.
• Performs focused assessments in line with nurse practice acts and policies.
• Administers medications following organizational policies.
• Communicates with patients and families and collaborates with the care team.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Follows infection control, isolation, and aseptic techniques as required.
• Protects patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
