Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse per state regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage flow of patients: screening, exam prep, sample collection, and vitals.
• Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments; instruct on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain patient records with chart entries and lab/test results.
• Schedule tests and treatments; arrange referrals and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Assist provider with exams and prep.
• Order prescriptions with pharmacy and communicate to patients.
• Control inventory and monitor supplies.
• Record health history and note abnormal findings for physicians.
• Screen calls for referrals to nurse or physician; triage patients as needed.
