Job summary

Neurology Texas, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support patient care in a fast-paced setting. This full-time, day-shift role offers Monday through Friday hours with no nights, no weekends, and no holidays.

You will screen patients, collect samples, obtain vitals, document records, coordinate tests and referrals, assist providers, manage medications and communicate with families. LPN licensure and 2+ years in a hospital or clinic are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse license and comply with state regulations.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital or clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and obtain vitals, prepare for exams and collect samples/tests.
• Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments; instruct medications and instructions.
• Manage patient records and chart entries; record lab/test results.
• Schedule tests and referrals; obtain pre-authorizations when directed by provider.
• Assist provider with exams and prep; coordinate with pharmacy for prescriptions.
• Control inventory and monitor supplies; document health history and abnormal conditions.
• Triage and respond to patient inquiries; screen calls for referrals.
