Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to support administrative and clinical operations in Labor & Delivery. The role leads daily unit operations, coordinates staffing, and collaborates with the director and managers to ensure high-quality care.

The position requires an RN license (BSN preferred) with BLS/ACLS current, and relevant supervisory experience. Night shifts on a full-time schedule with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• CCRN certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
• NRP required 90 days after hire and maintained.
• Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.

Responsabilités

• Direct daily unit operations (Charge Nurse): Assign staff to patients, triage admissions, balance workloads, and lead interdisciplinary rounds.
• Support department operations: Schedule management, onboarding coordination, chart audits, and assist with hiring needs.
• Provide frontline leadership: Manage escalations, fill staffing gaps, ensure continuity of care and operations.
• In absence of unit Director/Manager, assume administrative scope of the unit.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and oversee staff orientation and training; communicate with staff, physicians, and administration.

Formation

Current and valid state RN license

BSN preferred

BLS certificate

ACLS certificate

2 years clinical nursing experience; 1 year supervisory
