Job summary

Niagara Bottling is seeking a Day Shift Injection and Machine Operator to manage day-to-day operations of PET and HDPE injection equipment and related systems. The role emphasizes safety, logging, quality checks, and cross-area coverage in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, minor adjustments, log updates, defect reporting, and collaboration with maintenance. Strong emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and adherence to standard procedures is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, start and run injection equipment.
• Perform minor adjustments to injection equipment as directed.
• Complete and update logs and forms (e.g., preform/cap logs, quality forms).
• Identify unsafe conditions and follow plant safety rules.
• Conduct visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure standards.
• Maintain general housekeeping in production areas.
• Define resin types (Vpet, RPET, HDPE).
• Fill inspection sheets accurately and report defects.
• Work in multiple production areas with minimal supervision and perform relief duties as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor production equipment issues with maintenance collaboration.
• Understand computer systems (Shotscope, Electric80, Ignition).
• Communicate issues clearly and maintain regular attendance.
• Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
