Job summary

Vulcan Metals Specialty Products seeks an Industrial Maintenance Electrician for the Day Shift to support maintenance and improvement of electrical systems in a rolling mill environment. The role emphasizes legacy equipment, ovens, furnaces, and strong safety practices.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, is safety-focused, and can work with older and upgraded technologies; willingness to work extended hours during breakdowns is expected.

Qualifications

• Electrician Certification is required.
• Experience with PLCs, drives, 480V 3-phase, 4160 V, 250V DC; reading blueprints and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues on casting and rolling mill equipment (motors, drives, panels, instrumentation).
• Maintain and support legacy electrical systems (relay logic, older PLCs, hardwired controls).
• Work with ovens and furnaces, including temperature control systems and safety circuits.
