Job summary

Trinity Health Newton is seeking a part-time Security Officer to maintain order, monitor hospital premises, and respond to safety concerns. You will support nursing and staff by de-escalating tense situations and serving as an ambassador for the clinic.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read, write, and speak English. Prior security or public safety experience is preferred, with MOAB training to be completed within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of security/public safety experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be 18+ and have a valid driver’s license.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training to be completed within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards per policy.
• Investigate incidents and document details for law enforcement.
• Manage inventory of valuables and after-hours deposits.
• Escort individuals off campus when necessary and request police assistance.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide directions to the public.
