Job summary

Trinity Health, a large multi-state healthcare system, is seeking a night-shift security officer to help safeguard patients, visitors and staff. You will identify hazards, document incidents and work with law enforcement on criminal activity while maintaining the security of property and assets.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to drive. You may be required to obtain certifications such as BLS, ASP, and handcuffing as part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Security, police and/or military experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ and eligible to drive per Iowa law.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification or to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• CPR/pepper spray certification or equivalent must be obtained within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Identify, report and document safety hazards.
• Initiate investigations into incidents and cooperate with law enforcement.
• Maintain records of valuables, lost and found property.
• Control disruptive individuals and provide directions and escort services as needed.
• Operate security vehicles safely to perform assigned duties.
