Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Technician at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL to keep patient rooms, operating rooms and common areas clean and safe.

The role requires reading, understanding and communicating effectively, with a preference for at least one year of EVS experience in acute care and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.
• One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures, preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection.
• Properly dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs and communicate promptly using phones, radios, pagers, or other devices.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and between facilities as needed.
